Asked Questions

When Is The Best Time To Go?
Traditionally game viewing is at its best during the dry season. As a result of water being scarce during these periods, animals tend to congregate near available water in larger herds and are therefore easier to find, while in the wet season there is plenty of water available thus allowing the animals to disperse into smaller herds across a larger area.

The rainy season in the Southern African countries (South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe etc) is normally from the end of November through the end of February, while in East Africa (Kenya & Tanzania etc) is during the months of April, May and November.

How Old Does One Have To Be?
Certain age restrictions do apply for both young and old people depending on the nature of the trip. However children as young as four years and adults as old as 90 years regularly go on safari. Check with your tour operator for any restrictions.
